Animal Law broadly consists of all legal matters that involve nonhuman animals. These matters cross over into many other substantive areas of law. Moreover, while the law still treats animals as property, there are different classes of protection for our companion animals, wildlife, animals used for entertainment, and animals used for food or research. In this webcast, we will focus on some of thorny ethical issues involved in animal law, the judicial canons and attorney ethics rules that come into play, and what to do when the interests of what is best for clients, litigants, the public, and animals collide.
