Description: The goal and objective of the Membership and Outreach Committee is to grow the membership of the Animal Law Section and to provide information about Section activities. This Committee works with members of the Animal Law and other Florida Bar Sections and entities. The Membership and Outreach Committee is responsible for implementing ideas and suggestions for growing the Section. The Committee’s objectives are carried out through the following subcommittees.

Law School Outreach Subcommittee

Description: The Law School Outreach Subcommittee is responsible for bridging the gap between law students and attorneys. The Subcommittee informs students of animal sanctuary trips, upcoming events with the Section, scholarships, internships, updates in animal law, and mentorship with Section attorneys. Section members visit different law schools to speak to students about animal law and the Section.


Judicial Outreach Subcommittee

YLD Liaison: Ashley Englund, aenglund@gunster.com
Description: The YLD Liaison works with members of the Section who are also members of the Young Lawyers Division to promote the Section’s work and to encourage current them to become involved in the Section’s leadership and its various committees and subcommittees.

ABA Liaison: Gregg Morton, greggrileymorton@gmail.com
Description: The ABA Liaison coordinates the Section's activities as they relate to the American Bar Association. The ABA Liaison provides information on the Section’s activities and publications to the ABA/TIPS Animal Law Committee.
